About

A small firm, built for the businesses we serve.

The Tax Network Group is a boutique accountancy and tax advisory practice working with ambitious founders and owner-managed businesses, and with their owners personally where that makes sense.

We were set up around a particular kind of relationship: close, continuous and commercially involved. That shapes how many clients we take on, how often you hear from us, and what we consider our job to be.

Businesses that have outgrown a reactive accountant.

The businesses we work with are usually past the earliest stage. There is a team, a plan, and decisions being made that carry real financial consequences: hiring, premises, investment, structure, eventually succession or sale.

What they tend to have outgrown is an accountant who does the filing well enough but is not close enough to the business to be useful mid-year. The work is accurate and it arrives on time; it just arrives too late to change anything.

We also act for private clients where the work suits the same considered approach, often though not always the owners of the companies we already advise.

Four steps, then a steady rhythm.

  1. 01

    Understand the business

The model, the margins, the plans, the people. And what you want out of it as owner.

  2. 02

    Build the foundations

Get compliance, systems and data right, so the numbers are dependable enough to plan on.

  3. 03

    Set the rhythm

Agree what you see and when: management accounts, forecasts, tax projections, review meetings.

  4. 04

    Advise as it changes

Then the useful part: early input on decisions as they come up, through the year.

A closer, more useful accountancy relationship.

Proactive advice is not a slogan. It is a way of working that keeps information current, raises issues early and gives owners access to advice when decisions are being made.

A hands-on relationship

You deal directly with the people who understand the work, without an account-management layer in between.

Advice between deadlines

Regular contact throughout the year, not one annual conversation after the accounts have been prepared.

Management information you can use

Figures and forecasts delivered while they can still influence decisions.

Tax planned in advance

Structures, transactions and extraction considered before the event rather than after it.

Commercial recommendations

We explain the position and the available options, then provide a clear recommendation.

Boutique by choice

A deliberately selective client base gives us time to remain close to every business and private client.

Every accountant can file a tax return. Far fewer can help an owner decide whether acquiring another business is the right move.

Our role is to help business owners make better financial decisions.

05 · A conversation

If you need more from your accountant, we should talk.

An initial conversation is an opportunity to understand your business or personal circumstances, what is changing and the decisions ahead. We will establish what you need and whether the Tax Network Group is the right firm to provide it. We work with a deliberately selective client base, so it is important to establish the right fit from the outset.
